Clear Notes Terms of Service

Draft. The highlighted details below are still to be filled in by the publisher. This document is not final and is not yet in effect.

Last updated DATE BEFORE PUBLISHING. These terms are between you and LEGAL ENTITY NAME, of REGISTERED ADDRESS (CONTACT EMAIL). Have these reviewed by a lawyer before publishing.

By using Clear Notes you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Your notes are yours

You keep every right you have in what you write. We claim no ownership of your notebooks and we do not read them. Notebooks stay on your device, and any Drive sync copies them into your own Google Drive.

Accounts

You need an account for sync and for paid features. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app or on our account deletion page.

Plans, purchases and billing

Clear Notes offers subscriptions and a one-time Lifetime purchase. All of them are sold and billed by Google Play, not by us.

Acceptable use

Do not use Clear Notes to break the law, to store or share material you have no right to, to interfere with the service or other people's use of it, or to attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours. Do not resell the service or work around its plan limits.

AI features

Some features use AI, on your device or through a cloud provider. AI output can be wrong. Check anything that matters before relying on it, and do not treat it as professional advice.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but cannot promise it is always available or error-free. Features may change, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the service. If we discontinue a paid feature you have bought, we will handle it fairly and in line with Google Play's policies. The app keeps working offline for notes already on your device.

Ending your use

You may stop using Clear Notes at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or the law, or where we are required to. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first.

Liability

Clear Notes is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data you have not backed up. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer. Have this clause reviewed for your jurisdiction.

Changes and contact

If these terms change we will update this page and its date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it. Questions: CONTACT EMAIL.

Governing law: JURISDICTION.
